The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God who guided us to establish the functions of Islam and granted us the opportunity to mention it frequently in the mornings and the evenings (...) And then he says (...) Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Ayyashi (...) and I called him Al-Anwar Al-Sunniyyah based on the Zarruqi function.
The end of the manuscript: His poor man, Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad, said to his Lord, “This is what God has made easy of what I intended” (...) Al-Ayyashi’s explanation of the Zarruqiyyah function called “Al-Anwar al-Sunniyyah” was completed in the handwriting of (...) Abd al-Qadir ibn Qasim al-Rajraji to the beloved brother (…) Sidi Abdullah ibn al-Mutawhi (…) and it coincided with the ninth of Jumada al-Thani in the year 1297.
