Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family, our earthly servant, the Pasha of Casablanca, the good student Al-Muqri, may God grant you success, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you. After we have seen the letter issued by the Portuguese government to Monsieur Frere Cala do Crespo containing his nomination as consul of his state in Casablanca, we have approved his appointment to this position at the request of our Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Resident Commissar General of France. With our honorable delegation, so that he can do what he was assigned to do, and we informed you of this so that you would be mindful, and let your behavior be with Monsieur Frere Calado Crespo. This honorable book of ours was in accordance with international treaties, laws and peace, and it was written in Rabat on the 19th of Ramadan, 1367, corresponding to July 26, 1948. This honorable book was recorded on August 28 of the year, corresponding to the 28th of Ramadan, by the leader, Muhammad Al-Muqri, may God grant him success.
