Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, our earthly love, Al-Basha, Al-Murtada, the jurist, my master Muhammad bin Talib, may God grant you success and care, and may the peace and mercy of God be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. As for what follows, Al-Bahlul complained against us before a donkey because he was overtaken by the ravages of the barbarians, and I made amends against them with twenty mithqals, and now he is the one who has the choice. Your face will take the donkey or twenty because Al-Damnati, your friend, does not ask Al-Bahlouli for anything, and everyone who bought an animal only bought it for service. We asked Kamal, please, to pay the twenty mithqals, and we are for your service, love, and peace. On the 11th of Shaaban in the year 1274 servant of the high station in God, Ali bin Al-Hajj Al-Makhloufi, may God grant him success.
