Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions, the servant of the high station in God, the jurist, the most honorable, the most pious, the most pious, the most glorious, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you, with the presence of our master, may God grant him victory. The four sons of Al-Atabi live in Meknesa, under the control of the commander, Muhammad bin Ahmed, governor of Meknes. They came with the jurisprudence of Khiva from Majat and plundered the honorable Sidi Al-Tayeb bin Sidi Al-Hassani Al-Wazzani, originally from Al-Janadi, Dar Jarsa. He took two eyeliners and the sons of Al-Atabi mentioned in Al-Taddimah beat him with bullets and iron while he was on the verge of death. We would love for you, with all your intent and affection, to write to a plaster worker to rebuke his brothers, restrain them, and imprison them so that they stop helping the oppressors, plundering people’s goods, and blocking the road. Also write to the governor of Meknes, Commander Muhammad, mentioned, to imprison the sons of Al-Atabi, who are with him in Meknes, and keep them in prison until they return the people’s goods and we resolve the issue of wasting people’s blood. Unjustly, and this is what was obligatory for the media, love and peace, on the Fatih of Qa’dah in the year 1284, with the permission of Sheikh Hajj Al-Tahami Al-Janadi, may God grant him success.
