The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Sheikh (...) Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Ahmad Al-Ankazai Al-Baqili said (...) Praise be to God who made the science of grammar a tool that can be used to understand his speech (...) and after some of the brothers in God Almighty appointed me, may God bestow blessings upon us and upon him, to write an explanation on the authority of the scholar Sheikh Abu Jameel Zayan bin Faid Al-Zawawi Al-Qabil (...) so I delegated him (...) and named him With Al-Awi’s guide and Moein Al-Nawi to understand Al-Zawawi’s poem.
End of the manuscript: My standing before God is great (...) Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. The completion of this blessed explanation was at the time of noon on Saturday, the twenty-fourth of God’s month, Jumada Al-Thani, in the year 1303, at the hands of its weak, guilty writer, Ibrahim bin Saeed bin Al-Hasan Al-Tanani (...) And praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
