The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) The Book of Revealing Symbols by Sheikh Abu Muhammad Abdullah Ibn Ishaq Al-Jawzani, the Philosopher (...) Praise be to God alone, and prayers and peace be upon our Master, the Messenger of God (...) Now that God has guided us and you to what He has commanded us to do, of attaining the greatest craft and bestowed upon us knowledge and goodness in it, we loved to make a book for us and for those after us (...) and I called it Revealing Symbols and Solving Puzzles.
The end of the manuscript: Know it, and you will succeed, God willing, with His generosity, generosity, grace, and presence (...) And this is what we found from this book, and praise be to God for its completeness and perfection. It was finished at the hands of its writer (...) and the completion of it was on Wednesday the sixteenth of Rabi’ Al-Anwar of the year 1327, one thousand three hundred and twenty-seven. It ended in the city of Sibaia, at the Al-Andalus Mosque in Fez.
