The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is a chapter that I copied from the handwriting of someone who quoted it from Nuzhat Sheikh Dawud Al-Antaki, who said he copied it from Nuzhat in Medina (...) He said: Know, may God guide you, that the science of chemistry is one of the mystical natural sciences and the most honorable in terms of the interests it entails in religion, this world, and the hereafter. Alchemy is the reversal of the essence from the vile state.
The end of the manuscript: May God guide him to the path of faith, so he achieved the highest goal. This is God’s grace. He bestows it on whom He wills, and God is the Possessor of great bounty. This is the last thing we wanted from the science of chemistry and what ended up with us, and God Almighty knows best. I finish.
