Notes
Praise be to God alone May God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family, the jurist, the most honorable, the best, the most honest, the best, the honorable and noble Pasha, Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. Then, the most honorable one has delivered your letter that you have interceded for the prisoners for our master, may God honor him, and that he accepted your intercession for them. God supported him and cherished his victory. God is the one who rewards you for their condition with the best of his family. And he granted you their reward, for that is what we desired. May God increase your goodness and bless us with your life and your death with His kindness in this world and in the next. Thinking of you is beautiful and that is what you are obliged to do in the past. This is due to the generosity of the noble and his family. The person of virtue does not know the best and they are few, so God will keep you as a refuge for us and perhaps He wills. He is able to do what He wills and is worthy of the answer. Accordingly, we have obliged the families of the prisoners to go to your presence so that each one of them can pay what we love to him in the bestowed upon him. Honorable, upright, and a worker like one. He will be as good as he is. We love you. May the work be upon him in that and for service and peace on the 2nd of Hajj Al-Haram in the year 1280. Your successor, Mr. Muhammad, may God grant him peace.
