Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family, the servant of our beloved master, the jurist, the earthly leader, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj. May God grant you success and assistance, and peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of God Almighty, for the goodness of our master, his support and victory. After that, the servant of our master, the merchant, Idris Al-Tazi, paid the sixteen hundred mithqals and the fifty mithqals that his father, the merchant Ahmed bin Ali, received from the trusts of our master, at your hands directed by our master, may God bless him. Helping our honorable uncles to marry off their children, and for each one to receive what has been appointed for him. May God accept our master, Amen. Accordingly, we want you, may God help you, to recommend that the bearer be a servant of our master, who came there with the intention of what the honorable service requires, but his father, incapacitated, left here the servant of our master, the merchant Idris al-Tazi, directly for the honorable service, so it is enough for him, and God must bless you and love and peace on the 20th of Shaban al-Abarak in the year 1289.
