Praise be to God, our earthly lover and the epitome of our closest friend, the jurist, the honorable minister, Mortada, Mr. Ahmed, may God protect you, may God’s peace be upon you, and may God’s mercy be upon you, for the best of our Lord, may God grant him victory. Then, the honorable elderly Lal Ruqayyah, daughter of Sidi Al-Tuhamy Al-Idrisi, Jahida Lal Al Yamna, daughter of Moulay Salamah, has given us permission to deliver her letter to you, which includes a message to our Lord, may God support him, so what is it that reaches you in the company of this person, asking for your benevolence? May God bless you, Amen, with love and peace, on the 10th of Shaban Al-Abrak in the year 1312. The captain of the noble people, Moulay Eid Allah, told the jurist that the elderly noble woman, Lal Ruqayya, daughter of Sidi Al-Thami Al-Idrisi, Jahida Lal Yamna, daughter of Moulay Salamah, is permitted to deliver the letter of her request, enclosed, because she has grown old and weakened in strength, and has become dependent on whoever serves her, asking for blessings with what she buys. A female slave, and that she married off her children, both male and female, and asked to provide them with dowry and clothing from the money she spent, so she married them at the same time.
