Praise be to God alone, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions. The servant of our master, the exalted one, by God, Al-Hajj Idris Al-Sarraj. May God protect you with his care and place you in his protection and guardianship. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you for the goodness of our master, Al-Mansour Billah. After that, sir, we love you, you will send us a pair of the companions of our master, may God grant him victory, and you will send us your dearest book (cutting off) the tribe, and I will not accept the words of the devils regarding us, that it is the whole tribe. On righteousness, nothing concerns them except your dearest words and the owners of the storehouse, and the tax they are obliged to pay (cuts). The answer must be with the bearer, and there must be determination, and to serve you and obey you, and peace. And on the 14th of Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1288, with the permission of the honorable Colonel Muhammad and Abd al-Salam al-Sagroushi and the honorable Hajj Makrin al-Uthmani al-Sagroushi. May God grant success to everyone, Amen.
