The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) We praise You, O He who opened our chests to understand the meanings and the clarification and commanded us with the creations of cattle until we witnessed what is visible (...) And then, one of those who spread hands over the cities and the deserts has enabled me to read on (...) Abu Abdullah Sidi Muhammad Al-Tayeb bin Abdul Majeed bin Kiran (...) of that, his elegant narrations in metaphor and reality (...) and he commanded me to put an explanation on it when he saw that I sent Anan care to it.
The end of the manuscript: That is, this arjoza (such and such) was completed, accompanied by praise to God Almighty (...) and there is no power nor strength except in God, the Most High, the Great. It was completed, praise be to God, at the hands of its writer (...) Othman Ibn Azouz Ibn Doh Ibn Muhammad Al-Iraqi (...) and it was completed on Sunday, the 2nd of Sha’ban in the year 1289.
