Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, our master, the jurist, the eminent Pasha, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you with the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after my master, may God bless us with the reward, Idris Al-Saqir went to God’s pardon and the abode of his dignity, so he extended the rest. Every soul will taste death, and he died on the day of his history, and we informed you that you will be mindful of love, service, and peace, and on the 20th of Jumada Al-Thani in the year 1286. Your successor, Ali Al-Mazkiti, and from him, my lord, we wrote to you so that you would address a letter from you to Hajj Muhammad bin Al-Hajjam, so that he would remain in charge of the predecessor until he was arrested, and you commanded me to strengthen his support, and upon him, he must send it to us in a letter with what we mentioned, determined by resolve, and peace be upon Al-Mazkiti.
