Notes Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, our master jurist Al-Basha Idris Al-Sarraj. May God grant you success and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master. May God support him and grant him peace. We have received your letter regarding what Al-Qaid Hasan bin Ammar wrote to you regarding what the woman Aisha Karuma and her husband Ibn Al-Miknasi claimed against people, and we learned from it (amputation) of theft, so by God they did not steal anything from her or anything. Then they do not steal, but only (amputation), and here they are, and we have gathered them to meet her in your happy council, and you will receive a fee for a certificate of (amputation) in the case of the plaintiff woman. By God, we do not hate that you give us permission to deport her from Al-Zawiya for what she will find in the aforementioned fee. As for the commander, Hassan, perhaps he took action against us in the past because we arrested the one whom the people of Bani Ammar accused of stealing their livestock, as he had written to us to release him, but we did not consider him to do what you ordered us to do not release him due to an order. It is honorable, and it is necessary to inform you of it, and for all service, love, and peace, and from it, I know people about it on Safar Al-Khair 6, 1283                   your successor, Hajj Hadd
