Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master and Master, Muhammad, and his family, our Master, and replace our father, the honorable jurist, the eminent and noble Pasha, Sir Idris Al-Sarraj. May God exalt your position in glory and adorn your days with good deeds. Peace and God’s mercy be upon you for the goodness of our Master, the supporter of God. And then let it be in the knowledge of our Master. This morning there was a man with us who attended the weddings of Al-Lishin, and he was spending the night there. He was here tonight, and a mountain boy passed away with him. They brought some corruption to him, either with the intention of stealing the lashes, or with the intention of lacking chivalry towards the boy who had spent the night with him, and they hit the boy with a sword in the shoulder, and here he was under our father’s eyes, and the older man was hit in the chest and he died, and I appointed him to be spared, and then I ordered them to bury him. As for the boy, I asked him: Was there a second person between him and anyone, or did he know anyone? He said: There was no argument between him and anyone except these days. Two men followed him, one of whom was named Qasim al-Drees, and another of his cousins, Omar bin Haj, and he had summoned them.
