The Superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin at that time acquired the two noble trustees, Sidi Muhammad Al-Mufaddal Al-Sarraj and Al-Hajj Ahmed Al-Sharat, from the land holder, Mr. Al-Ghali Ibn Zakri, who provided fifty riyals for what he was assigned to receive from the endowments of Al-Qarawiyyin, in full possession at our hands, Sidi Muhammad Ibn Boubakar, and I absolved those who should be acquitted of this, and they knew his worth and his fullness, and he knew them on the seventeenth of Jumada Al-Than in the year one thousand three hundred and fifteen.
