Notes Praise be to God alone, our beloved, the dearest earthly jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After that, the saddlebags in the room of the imprisoned man whom they were directed to us in his shackles have arrived in accordance with what the reins that were directed to them have conveyed to them. We placed the prisoner in the prison, and the reins and slings we kept under our hand so that we could see all the knowledge of our Lord the Caliph, may God honor him and grant him peace and love, and on the 3rd of Rajab in the year 1279.      The runner-up of the highest position, in God’s name, is my relief
