Praise be to God, our earthly lover, Mr. Muhammad Ibn Talib, may God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. Then, our Lord, may God grant him victory, orders you to order the trustees of the city to pay Mr. Muhammad al-Barakani fifty mithqals of the zakat of the people of Fez, and write to the trustees of al-Hari for the master to pay him thirty mudds of wheat according to the order of our Lord, may God bless him, of tithes. Peace be upon him on the 7th of Rajab in the year 1274. Muhammad al-Saffar, may God grant him success.
