Notes Praise be to God alone.                       May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master and Master Muhammad and his family, our dearest and most earthly brother, the jurist, the one who is rewarded, the watcher, the most beloved, the trustworthy, the most sincere, the most truthful, the favorite master, the Siraj. May God protect you, peace and mercy of God be upon you for the goodness of our Master, may God grant him victory. After we received your letter, we were pleased with what was of your safety to God. Praise be to God, may God keep you safe. Just as we were pleased with the sincerity you sent us, which you mentioned, because it found us in a country of goodness and no hidden value. The morsel and the chewed meat were there, so we began to pray for you for every piece of bread and for every morsel of supplication. May God accept from you and grant you success in repeating it and not being heedless. And here is the donkey. They went to bring the messenger as well, and what I directed to our master the jurist regarding this has arrived with them, and we spoke with the donkey about accepting the burden of what you give them of that in reception as you requested, and here you are to bring out a map for them in the hall, and I have presented to you the letter repeatedly informing you of what Ibn al-Aziz had given us before you and we informed you. To direct the handwritings of his hand that you have so that we can take possession of my handwriting that I paid him, and you did not answer me in the first place about what he should do in that regard. I learned that our master, may God support him, is returning to Marrakesh, God willing, and we have longed ourselves for directing the children to Marrakesh, and we are still thinking about it. And God opens our hearts to what He loves and pleases Him, and inspires us to what is good and righteous, Amen. We greet the people of the house, the daughter of the late brother, and the cousins, may God protect them. After this, you will receive the answer about the country of Khawlan. God willing, peace and blessings be upon the brothers, on the 14th of Jumada al-Ula in the year 1315, Abbas al-Fasi, may God be with him.
