The beginning of the manuscript: A cubit, and if he approaches me by a cubit, I approach him by a cubit, and if he comes to me walking, I come to him at a trot. Narrated by al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah. On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, may God be pleased with him, that a man said: O Messenger of God, the laws of Islam are too much for me.
