Praise be to God, the successor of the leader, Al-Tayeb Al-Wadini, bears witness that he guaranteed that the face of his crime, his honorable freedman, Moulay Al-Talib Al-Tahir, will be brought to his opponent, the merchant, Hajj Muhammad bin Makhlouf, according to the pure Sharia in this city. The merchant has a guarantee because his money is such that he does not sell it unless his money is brought. The value of thirty is known to be owed in its entirety, and it is known to be large, connected, black, with a long nose, a tooth missing from the top. And on the fifteenth of Shawwal in the year one thousand two hundred and seventy-eight.
