Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family, our beloved, the earthly jurist and the servant of our master al-Murtada al-Qaid, Sidi Muhammad ibn al-Talib. May God grant you security, peace, and God’s mercy upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. And after that, the tribe of Matiwa has been lazy about their duty to the side of our master, al-Mu’tazz bilah, and we have now imposed on them his bearer, Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad Tahir bin Bashir al-Matiwi, and we have ordered him to arrest all of them. Whoever of them shops in this Ghadrisi Presence, wherever they appear, and we wanted Your Excellency to support him in what he lacks in supporting him, and if you are mindful of him, may God bless you and help you and you in honorable service and in love and peace, and on the 29th of Shawwal Al-Abrak in the year 1277 and the summer of high status in God, my relief.
