Notes	Praise be to God alone and may God’s prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, our earthly lover and the salvation of our closest friend, the jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God protect you and take care of you, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. As for what follows, we love from God and from you that it is time for the soldier in the prison that Ould Sidi Ben Ghair summoned him, and that he plundered his dirhams in the bathroom. Know, may God inform you that a whistling flame has appeared to us since his arrival, and we have directed him to the Pasha. The Pasha has directed him to you, so we love you, by God, and we ask you to accept our intercession for him and discharge him with the one who called him to the law so that the soldier can go to his service. May God bless us with you and your love and peace on the eighteenth of Ramadan in the year 1288 Haj Ahmed Aziz, may God grant him success.
