Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, our earthly lover, Al-Baraka Al-Murtada, Sidi Idris, peace and God’s mercy be upon you with the presence of our master, may God support him. After we have received what you wrote to us regarding the purchase of fifteen loads of wood of sixteen sixteen spans, and fifteen loads of eighteen spans and a hundred of unjust wood for the trustees of Al-Araish, they will go to the palace. The first will carry ten loads of wood and four from the second. Loads, we love you. You order Laban al-Abbas to designate the camels to carry them and to carry the wood of the ribat. We write to the trustees of Al-Araish directing them to the ribat. Rather, to the palace. Whoever possesses as much wood as he can and throws it, go to him. And here is the one you appoint. And say to them, “God bless you, you are to them.” They mention the length of the unjust, so we would like them to specify its length so that the wood can be bought in its amount.
