Praise be to God alone. May God bless our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions. May God support him with his salvation, the eminent jurist and pasha, Mr. Ghadres Al-Sarraj. May God protect you, may God’s peace be upon you, and may God have mercy on you with the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory and perpetuate his glory and exaltation. After the most honorable of us received the letter of the companions of the jurist and Nazir, Sidi Muhammad Al-Mashat, in which you commanded us, as my Lord, may God bless him, ordered him to cover my lord, the representative of the Arabs, with dust so that he does not dispose of anything. Here it is a palm in between. His hands and you mentioned to us that the presenter of the sanctuary and the deputy captain, Sidi Ibrahim, appointed to you Muhammad bin Ahmed, called Al-Qusayuri, to be with the superintendent, Mr. Muhammad Al-Mashat, so we read the letter to him, and before that, he was a man of chivalry and of love and peace, and on the 10th of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1, 1286, we sent to you in a letter to your honor.
