Praise be to God alone, the servant of our earthly master, the most powerful leader, Commander Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After that, the commander of Hawara, Commander Ali bin Bouazza, claimed against the honorable Hajj Ahmed bin al-Hassan. He stayed with him house by house and went out to fulfill some of his needs and left the owner. The owner of the house approached the owner and said to him, “My wife wants a house mattress and velvet, so he left it, so he proceeded to sell him wood and add a hundred mithqals of it, so he directed it at the aforementioned owner of the house.” And listen to the complainant and what appears to you in the case, we will answer him. Peace be upon you, Shawwal 3, 1284.
