Praise be to God alone, the servant of our master Al-Anjad and the successor of Al-Arshad, the most happy Pasha, Sir Muhammad bin Al-Talib, may God protect you and help you, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, with the presence of our Lord, may God support him. After we have received the dearest, your letter regarding the crops under the control of Ham and Belaid Al-Amari, so know which brother, God willing, soon in the end, and from him, the bearer of your writer, the student Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Alaf, lives there in Fez and has a neighbor. You may attack him in a meeting between them, and he is between them for you, and he will heal you in the news. His drawing is by his hand and his argument is clear, except that, as you know him, he is not able to quarrel with anyone, and we love you. Be fair to his opponent and cut off the size of the quarrel for him.
