Notes
Praise be to God alone, our beloved earthly jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you. For the goodness of our Lord, may God honor him, he issued his honorable order that the rice should not be placed in Dar Al-Dabigh and ordered it to remain preserved in pristine condition. So he commissioned the trustees of Al-Hari Al-Saeed to make in it a place to put the rice in. Tomorrow he sent a Qawadsi teacher, a builder’s teacher, and a carpenter’s teacher to look at Dar Al-Dabigh what was lacking in repair in it, and he directed six wooden domes for it and ten grilles. The secretaries of the shop facilitated the laying of rice with the harrieh. The stretcher was directed to carry the rice from Dar Al-Dabigh to the harrieh. With love, completeness and peace on the 17th of Rabi’ 2 in the year 1278 and the summer of high status in God.
