Praise be to God alone, our beloved Pasha Al-Anjed, the leader, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. A man from Al-Zarahna named Hajj Muhammad bin Al-Tayeb Al-Marnissi, called Aznoud, who lives in Sidi Moussa, had claimed against people from Magat that they had beaten his son and imprisoned him in that place in Meknes. Then after that, he argued with them and authorized their release from prison with a release. When their handler wrote that they should be released, our master referred to Sharia law for the validity of the acquittal, so he answered. The judge said that the aforementioned Al-Zarhouni must be present to testify to the surrender of the acquittal. Perhaps we had directed you to bring him, but you were certain, and now the rewriting of that must be directed to him to come here and bear witness to the surrender, as the judge ordered, and it must be without delay.
