Praise be to God alone May God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family, the successor of our master the happiest, the servant of our master the most guided jurist, Sidi Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God Almighty be upon you, for the goodness of our master, the Mansur, by God. And after, sir, we have received your dearest book on the matter of those who wanted to teach you to your companions that we have received. Know, sir, that they were acquitted in your aforementioned companion. They are the ones whom you threw into the prison that you spied on. Their understanding is shown in the drawing with which they testified. Whoever is present at them, and I, my master, wrote, absent, that he should forbid the tithes, as you commanded us, as you found, my brothers did, so know what they did (to cut off) their beards, and as for their sheikh, all of that is in his own eyes, and he adds to their protection a restriction. Your friend is talking to someone about the tithes or someone else, and he has five people’s ounces in his hand by beating them. Now, sir, if you ignore this matter, and if you do not plot against the one who intends to do this, let no one else fall short. And peace. Your servant Al-Tahami bin Abdullah Al-Sakhrati
