Notes Praise be to God                  A copy of an honorable book, the text of which is our most sincere servant and our most successful minister, Hajj Muhammad Al-Muqri, may God grant him success, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, and after that, what I sent of the leather that I chose from the jewelery that was in the capital of Belgium has arrived, according to the restriction in which I mentioned the raids, numbers, and what he raised, amounting to one hundred thousand francs and eighty-three thousand and four hundred and seventy-three francs. This was received in its place from a sherif whom I have attended, and I was informed that he was diligent in Sell the rest so that its price can be added to the first number. Accordingly, we order you to increase your diligence in this matter until its price is collected and placed between Pariz and Babiya as the first, as well as the dirhams that will be returned to you from our presence by the hand of Al-Amin Al-Zakari, and inform us of the proceeds along with the bank president’s handwritten directive in this regard. May God bless you and grant you peace, on the 23rd of Qada in the year 1329. My brother’s copy also belongs to him. And according to what Mr. Qaddour carried in the civil matter, it is that if the agreement falls on a mortgage. Internal properties shall be mortgaged according to the amount of the mortgaged property, and if it is not, then the amount that will be paid is eight hundred thousand riyals, and we order you to work diligently in this until you obtain the aforementioned amount, as nothing less than it. As for the debts of the neighbour, and the lot, and all of mine, you shall be given in charity along with the debts of the people. As for the amount mentioned and above, whether the property is mortgaged or given according to diligence, everyone arrives here at night, lest the people think that this is just sophistry that was made with them, and we intended by it, God willing, to promote it in public works for what May God bless you and guide you, and peace be upon you, on the 23rd of Qada in the year 1329. My brother’s copy also belongs to him. We have decided to introduce some improvements in matters in our particular cases, and thus we order you to start purchasing plowing supplies according to the modern economic method of plowing, harvesting, threshing machines and the like, and if it appears to you that one of the masters of the art is employed for that purpose and he is employed only for his wages, otherwise he is born to be a Muslim, and if that is not possible then there is no harm in bringing him from Europe with a restriction. With conditions that cannot be deviated from, then after that let us know, and the conditions will be according to your covenant. May God fix you and guide you. Peace be upon you on the 23rd of Qada in the year 1329.
