Praise be to God alone, our master, the jurist, the judge, and the eminent scholar, An-Nahrir, my lord Muhammad. After that, our lord Al-Mansour, by God, commanded us to distribute to the jurists as much wheat from the tenths of the people of Fez as we provided for them in the first year, to be divided among them at your hand according to their ranks. Accordingly, he directed to us their reins so that we might know from him the amount that was carried out for them. For the reins of the first year we met, some of those mentioned in it died, such as Moulay Hamid and Sayyid Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajj, and some traveled.
