The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to Him who has bestowed favor on His saints, His Holiness, and made them taste the sweetness of His closeness and companionship, and prayers and peace be upon our Master Muhammad Badr al-Tawhid and his sun, the essence of Hasan, unique in his type and kind, and upon his family and companions who know the path of its meaning and sense. And after this, this is a summary of the masterpiece of the people of Siddiqiyyah with the chains of transmission of the Jazouli and Zarruqi sects, written by the master jurist and Sufi scholar Abi Abdullah Muhammad al-Mahdi bin Ahmad bin Ali bin Sheikh al-Imam al-Arif. The great Abu Al-Mahasin Yusuf Al-Fassi, may God be pleased with him, in a nice style and elegant arrangement, with the addition of some of what he omitted and an edit for the original and for those who wish to call it a joke in the abbreviation of the masterpiece.
The end of the manuscript: Then Al-Hasan Al-Basri, may God be pleased with him, took from a group of companions, may God be pleased with them. The first of them was the Mother of the Faithful, Umm Salamah, who used to breastfeed him when he was young, and she would treat him like that if his mother was at work. This is the last thing that was intended to be shortened and fulfilled for whoever wanted to benefit from it, and may God grant him success. And whoever wants to decorate his men with what suits their characteristics and know the record of their names and the date of their deaths, he must follow its origin, so that he can stand on each in its proper place, and praise be to the One who guides success to the straight path. May God’s blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, and all who followed that team.
