Notes
Praise be to God, the righteous and successful boy, Talib Si Al-Arabi, may God grant you peace, and may God’s mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And you must stand with the bearer, the friend of our dearest brother, the jurist, Sidi Abd al-Karim bin Sulaiman. He bought for him two chains, two thin ones from fifty shields, fifty-one knafehs with their barbershops, and four locks from Barkouz, which you have in Al-Rashil, which was the purchaser’s face, and my lord has the right to deliver them. We sent them to the sinker for two hundred pieces of bread from one and a half loaves. And peace be upon the Sovereignty on the 9th of Rajab in the year 1320. The Favorite Al-Sarraj, may God be gracious to him. And here is the residence. You purify it by watering the mosque in the house. Pay it to my master, the giver, whether it is or someone else. And upon you, O righteous child, I purify the peace and increase it, and I seek from God, whose deposits do not disappoint, and seek guidance. And God protects you and takes care of you. We ask Him for guidance. May he be the last to be baptized with you and may he return to you soon in the best condition, Amen. Peace be upon you. Idris Al-Wakili.
