Praise be to God alone, the jurist whose happiness lasts in God. Al-Hajj Al-Mufaddal Al-Sarraj. May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. The honorable bearer of books to you, Moulay Omar bin Al-Abbas Al-Alawi, has become attached to us. Time has stumbled upon him and betrayed him. We have sent it to you with the permission of the precious pearl, Maulana Idris Al-Akbar. May God benefit us and you with his blessing. Accordingly, what is required of you is to honor his hospitality as a treat for his grandfather, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a gift that he will use to help his family and servants. He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Have mercy on those on earth, and He who is in heaven will have mercy on you. Peace be upon you, 22 Qiddah in the year 1317.
