The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is the seventh part of the fragment of the author’s work from Umdat al-Raween from the History of Tataouine by Ahmed al-Rahuni. Then I said: Daoud Muftah with Ibn al-Ahmar ** and Zarhouni Rahmouni with Ibn Mayara. The verse included six people: The first was the jurist and justice Sidi Abd al-Salam ibn Ibrahim ibn Daoud, who was one of the Aduls of this city in the years 1132 to 1150.
The end of the manuscript: He was serving on it, and this honorable master will be mentioned when mentioning the good people we met, God willing, and our aforementioned sheikh adhered to the Tijaniya method. I saw on the back of a copy of (Al-Baghiyah) (...) and after the summons, the aforementioned approved of him on the way and his permission for him to do it, and that includes his honesty in what appeared to him because my Arab master 1309 is one of the greatest saints and saints who does not approve of the falsehood of the inheritance of Muhammadiyah, may God be pleased with all of us, Amen. We completed the eighth part of the fragmentation. Author.
