The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings be upon our master (...) Sheikh Abdul Qadir bin Abi Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Jili Al-Hasani Al-Hanbali, may God be pleased with him, said. Praise be to God, with whose praise every book is opened, and with whose remembrance every discourse is issued (...) Now that some of my companions urged me and stressed the discourse in compiling this book (...) I have named it Ghaniyya for those seeking the path of truth, Almighty and Majestic.
End of the manuscript: We completed the blessed book with the praise of God and His good help, and may God’s blessings be upon our master (...) and our last supplication is that praise be to God, Lord of the worlds. The interview and correction were done to the best of our ability (...) by the poor servant (...) Allal bin Abdullah Al-Fassi (...) on Tuesday, the sixth of Shawwal Al-Abrak, in the year one thousand eighty-five.
