Notes Praise be to God alone. May God bless our master Muhammad and his family, his companions, the best jurist, the eminent leader, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May God protect you and take care of you. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God Almighty be upon you in the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After he reached us, your letter and our understanding include it regarding the subsistence that happened to Al-Himyari about it. This happened without our knowledge, and the one who did it was blinded and ignorant. As for us, we will not ask for anyone from your servants yet, God willing. And you should know that Al-Jari had arrived with his animals and belongings when we received your letter and learned that those who plundered Azib Al-Hajj Omar bin Makhlouf were Muhammad bin Al-Sharif and Ibn Issa, and when they agreed with us in that, they gave us two cows. And for your love and peace, praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family, our lover and servant of our earthly master, Commander Abdul Salam bin Ham Al-Riyasi. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after that, the bearer of it, Ahmad bin Qaddour Al-Himyari, is innocent of the truth that you have entrusted him with, and Muhammad bin Al-Sharif and those with him who are arrested by you did not deal with the truth that you demanded of him. Thus, the eldest of the children of Al-Hajj, who are trusted and have no purpose, told us. Peace be upon you, 9 Shaban of the year 1280, and when one of our deputies is not obligated to arrest him, write to us of the right he owes and he will pay it, because we are many of those who come from you and people ask for it in agreement, so we do not accept the words of anyone about them. And peace            Idris Al-Sarraj
