Know that I asked our Sheikh Abu Al-Abbas, may God be pleased with him, I mean the compiler of this poem, about the origin of his pure lineage, and he mentioned to me that they are honorable (...) and his birth, may God be pleased with him, was in the year one hundred and forty-first, and he died, may God Almighty have mercy on him and be pleased with him, before dawn on Tuesday, the twenty-seventh of Dhu al-Hijjah, in the year one hundred and thousand ninety-six (...)
