40 riyals, praise be to God. The superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin and all the other mosques and schools at that time, namely the two earthly masters, Mr. Al-Mufaddal Al-Sarraj and Al-Hajj Ahmed Al-Sharat, from the masters, Mr. Al-Ghali Bennis, acquired all forty riyals in complete possession, and that is what was assigned to him. He received a receipt from the beneficiary of the Ahbas, who knew its value. He testified to it in its entirety, and recognized them and set them up, and on the 25th of Shaban Al-Abrak in the year 1315.
