Notes The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O God, bless our Master Muhammad, the illiterate Prophet, and his family and companions. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. Praise be to Him who has abstained from all shortcomings and afflictions, and thanks to Him who has been characterized by all praises and perfections, and praise to Him who created creation and highlighted the existences, and singled out people for His love and affection, and guided them to His guidance and care, and granted them to serve and worship Him in all conditions and times, and brought among them His loved ones, and indeed all universes, in life and after death, and made everyone who was affiliated with them tomorrow among the masters and leaders (such), and prayers and peace be upon Muhammad. The Master of all beings, and upon his family and companions, who were the most diligent in obedience and abandoning customs. As for what follows, when he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was the mediator of high ranks and stations, the sheikhs preferred to belong to his honorable companion, the owner of proofs and miracles, and to adhere to him by following him in movements and rests. The purpose of whitening these words is to mention the perfect, knowledgeable, upright guides, known as the masters of solitude. End of the manuscript: Praise be to God. Thus, I found this chain of transmission in the sum of what our aforementioned sheikh gave me in his handwriting, and it ended with Ali ibn Abi Talib, as I saw. I asked him about the reason and he told me, “Why did God grant me the right to meet with Sheikh Hassan Kirit Yildarshid?” and I asked him for permission in the Khalutiyyah order. He ordered me to write its series in my own handwriting so that he would sign it in his own handwriting. So I proceeded in it on the path of promotion. When I reached the mentioned place, he gave permission for the group to leave, so I stopped completing it and informed the Sheikh about it. So he wrote to me as follows: Praise be to God and prayers be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. The virtuous leader and the perfect journeyman, Mawlana Abd al-Qadir ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Sheikh al-Musharrafi, has taken upon us his blessing and has granted us his blessing. May God benefit us through him and he benefits me and I, the poor servant, Hassan Kirit al-Maliki, according to the doctrine of the Khalwati method. Ah. Font type: Moroccan
