The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Ahmed bin Mubarak Al-Sijilmasi Al-Lamatti says (...) Praise be to God alone, and may God’s blessings be upon him after whom there is no prophet. These are simple letters that contain abundant knowledge. I called them the refutation of emphasis on the issue of imitation.
End of the manuscript: Then the context of the surah indicates that this was before his prophecy, and the hadith is what is in the two Sahihs and others on the authority of Abu Hurairah, with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet, that the Angel of Death was sent to Moses, and he said, “Answer your Lord.” And the Angel of Death was coming to people with his eyes, so Moses struck him and gouged out his eye, so the angel returned to God Almighty, and he said, “You sent me to a servant.”
