Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, our master the jurist, the eminent Pasha, Sidi Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God support him. And after that, his bearer is the just student, the marabout, Mr. Muhammad bin al-Arabi al-Hakimi, who is commanded to educate (amputation) who has the Idrisiya zawiya, for what he claims. Ahmad bin al-Arabi al-Amri sold out to him when he wanted you to turn away from the honorable matter with a mind of trouble and a mind of his own. Your Excellency has come to meet Your Excellency to heal you in an incident with his opponent, and he asked us for permission to do so, and the letters are to inform you, and here he is replying to you, intending to give you permission in his separation with his opponent. What is required of your Excellency is that he returns, God willing, as pleased as he is with you and not afraid of your knowledge, dear uncle of the poor, and with love and peace, 9 Jumada 2 1282 Your successor, Hajj Hadd bin Al-Ayyashi.
