Notes The beginning of the manuscript: Among what they responded to was on the authority of our master Adam, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the Almighty’s saying, “And We made a covenant with Adam before, but he forgot, and We did not find in him resolve.” That is, we informed him of his descent to the earth and that he and his sons would be successors therein, and of what we estimate at his hands of an image of the sins of his happy sons. The end of the manuscript: This is the last thing that God has pleased to gather according to the commandment of good faith. The poor man asks whoever finds out about a small or major lapse to excuse him and pray for him (...) and give eternal and great peace until the Day of Judgment. Praise be to God alone, and may God’s blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. Font type: fine Moroccan
