The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is a treatise on Tuhfat Al-Tadbeer for the people of insight, containing four original works and seven chapters (...) Praise be to God, who has blinded me with His grace and revealed to me the hidden content of His secret, an effective secret that flows by His command, and taught me worldly knowledge of His knowledge.
The end of the manuscript: You watered it equal to its weight and it increased you many times in throwing. The explanation for this is that the portion of silver or gold on which that elixir was thrown doubled its throwing on the mercury, hence its throwing is doubled. The blessed message was completed, thanks to God.
