Praise be to God and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, Syed Al-Qaid Al-Asaad, Sidi Idris, may the peace and mercy of God be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. And then, be generous in your knowledge that I found (the amputations) of the flock in Iyalat Jabour. Among them were some who rented out their livestock for confinement, and they were more just, and everyone asked for his wages until I added to the group about a hundred and twenty mithqals. Some of them passed by with them, some of whom said to offer to the animals, and some of them who said: The heads and the confusion are that all of them were imposed on the heads, and I have placed the command of all in your hand, so we do not actually do anything except what you commanded me to do and from it. We would like, with all your generosity, that you consider the face of God in our regard in this calamity that befell Zaytoun Ibn al-Ashqar. Know, sir, that your friend J. Qasim presented to us your best letter regarding the affairs of the neighbors of the olive trees and the dialogue of the olive trees with them on our side, and as in the knowledge of the pilgrims, they are worse than the neighbors of the olive trees, but as for us, there is a great distance between us and the forest. Al-Mahrouqa was asked at every one who came. As for the one who burned the aforementioned olives, they were among the honorable Ismailis who saw it and seized them with their own hands. Among them was Sidi Idris bin Al-Shahaymi and whoever was with him. May God reward you with goodness and peace. May God grant you peace.
