The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) He said (...) Muhyiddin Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Sharaf Al-Nawawi (...) Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, Sustainer of the Heavens and the Earths (...) As for what follows, we have narrated on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib and Abdullah bin Masoud (...) and I have seen the addition of forty in what is more important than all of this.
The end of the manuscript: Its meaning is not known. This is its true meaning, and Muslims benefit from it, not by preserving what is not transmitted to them. And God knows best what is right, and to Him belongs praise, credit, and grace, and success is due to Him (...) May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions. It ended, thank God.
