The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad. A book that contains a warning to the heedless and also a path to the fearful. Muhammad bin Abdullah narrated on the authority of Abu Sufyan that was reported to Khalid bin Yazid Al-Hashimi. He said, “I went from my house to the house of Abdullah bin Abbas to meet him about something he wanted me to ask him about regarding the matter of the Qur’an. I had become confused, but I did not find him in his house, so I set off towards the house of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, and we were met by Suleiman Al-Farsi [sic].
The end of the manuscript: So God says to him, “Blow the blast of resurrection and the earth will be changed into another earth (...)” like that. He heard the remembrance of the sound and was struck by a thunderbolt from which he did not recover until the Day of Resurrection. He finished the Sahih hadith on the death of this world with praise to God and His good help, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
