Praise be to God, in the council of the happiest pasha, the most glorious knight, Sayyid Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd al-Sadiq, in the dome of Dar Bu Ali. The fourteen people whose names are underlined in the city of Manna were present. The first of them was the corporal Sidi al-Ghazi bin Sidi Muhammad al-Aidi, and the last of them was Ahmed bin al-Asawi. They were all among the greatest butcher teachers among his two martyrs, may God protect them through his blessings. One of them gave their testimony that it was their custom, ancient and modern, to shop at the cow and sheep markets in this city. The Idrisiyah, may God protect them, do not approach the pieces of livestock in the two mentioned markets to shop from them, even the carpenter of the Corporal, his time, who is responsible for shelving the goods every day for the Happy Store, knows what is enough for him. If he chooses something with that and about it, he puts a mark on it and returns it to him, so there is not a single one of the other butchers left to buy what the Corporal’s mark was directed at, of what Majd mentioned. They go for the pieces of livestock and buy from it anything other than that for two months. All together, what was mentioned is the custom that has been going on among them since they have worked to this day. They have worked on it until now, just as those before them have worked on it, to the point that they received it from their hands with acceptance, and they committed to standing by it and working on its requirements in full attendance and witness. They knew his destiny and witnessed it to them in the council of the aforementioned pasha. He recognized them, recognized them, and appointed them on the eighth Hajj al-Haram in the year one thousand three hundred and eighteen.
