The beginning of the manuscript: Sheikh Imam Sidi Abu Ishaq Al-Shatibi, may God Almighty have mercy on him, was also asked about the situation of a sect characterized by belonging to Sufism and poverty. They gather on many nights at one of the people’s place, and they open the gathering with some dhikr in one voice, then they move after that to richness, with palms and flats, and so on until the end of the night, during which they eat food that the owner of the house prepares for them.
The end of the manuscript: And peace be upon whoever finds out about this, from its writer to Ibrahim al-Shatibi (...) and the back of it is bound by the handwriting of al-Mujib, may God have mercy on him, which reads: What was written above and at the end is correct according to what he wrote, so whoever wishes to clear it from me according to what happened here, and God grants success to what is correct, and he wrote thus in the handwriting of the servant (...) Ibrahim al-Shatibi in the last ten days of Dhul-Qa’dah in the year seven hundred and eighty-six.
